My military mindset gets triggered almost immediately.
This one is a prime example of how not knowing your market will destroy your credibility.

What the author could have done better
- Provide an additional welcome email explaining why I'm hearing from a new person or re-write the first email.
- Introduce me to the product he is selling. Make me excited about what is coming instead of making excuses.
- Never tell me I bought your inferior product then ask me to buy the new one...
- Take some time researching the market even if you are a part of that market. The hours spend researching are never wasted.
