Email Breakdown 4 The Before it Ships Email

Transcript

(I'm looking for a better method to transcribe. I hope to have one soon).

Hey it's Jody

I just wanted to drop in here really quick and show you this email that was forwarded to me the other day. It's kind of a great example of what Chris or Orzechowskii would call a before fulfillment email.

The whole point of it is really to get the customer excited about getting the order and maybe even get them to buy more. It's something that e-commerce companies could benefit from or anyone with a product that they sell online to increase their average order value.

The subject line is excellent. At this point, the customer knows what they've ordered, so they are very likely to open an order fulfillment email.

It had the name in here and congratulating them on their supplement purchase. It reminds me of why I bought the product and whatever the supplement is going to do for me.

If they are looking for, especially health products, they probably have a very pressing problem. They need help with it, and they want to know more information. So they threw in dosage and timing tips. Then they put a reminder to send in a review.

Next is kind of interesting. They talk about how all their supplements work together, so they will send me another email. The next email will tell me what other stacks work well with this particular supplement. I wanted to boost something, and now they are going to sell me more supplements to do it even better.

This is a great chance for me to get that information. This is an excellent example of the fulfillment email.

Now notice where you can rake in a little bit extra money. They give a discount for a subscription to the booster—15 % off at the button. Boom, you just made another sell before you even ship the first one.

That's how these order fulfillment email should work.

This week's review is quick and to the point. Are there any products you have that would benefit from something like this?
