Is This Common Sales Funnel Conversion Killer Destroying Your Sales?

I was going through my Black Friday emails, and I saw a quick sales funnel lesson I could give.

I talk a lot about being congruent with your sales funnels. Sometimes that concept is a little confusing.

So I found a great example.

I got an email from Thrive Themes, and they're offering a free copywriting course until Cyber Monday.

And of course, you know, I want to see anything to do with copywriting.

So I clicked on it and came to the sales page.  

The sales page looked good.

So this is the link for members.

And all they want the members to do is share the offer and then click here to claim their free course for zero dollars.

This is all great.

The color schemes, font, and feel are all the same throughout the sales page.

So that's very congruent.

And I click on the link to get the free course, and suddenly I'm on the Thrive Theme's website.

And all the copy on the order form is all about getting Thrive Themes.

I know some of these things are upsales, or they have upsales.

So I got kind of confused.

I think I just put in my PayPal account and zero dollars, and I get the course.

This is an excellent example of someone who wanted a product and pulling them out of the fantasy...

... and the excitement of making a purchase.

They made me think me think about it.

I even clicked out because I wasn't sure, and there's a good chance that maybe I was never coming back.

So this is all about Thrive Themes.

And it's a great example of a lack of continuity between the sales page and the order form.

And I thought this was a great way to show you what I mean by continuity.
