Hey, everybody, I wanted to jump in here quickly and show you a new tool that I found to help you with your market research.
Now, I know market research isn't exactly a fun conversation.
No one likes doing it.
But if you're familiar with the website called Reddit, you know that it is a treasure trove of market research.
Reddit is visited by a billion people every day.
On Reddit, you can find customers in your marketplace genuinely expressing themselves and being honest. They use their own language, making it super easy to dig into what they need right now... their pain points... and even create content for your Web site.
It's instant access to thousands of topics and ideas that will bring people to the Google searches to your website, but it can be cumbersome to search through.
So I stumbled upon a website by Nick Eubanks.
Nick Eubanks is an online marketer.
I don't know anything about him, so I'm not endorsing him or anything.
He probably a great guy, but I don't know. I'm just going to put that disclaimer out there.
Now, Nick has created what he calls a Reddit scraper, and it's 100 percent free.
It's a lead magnet.
I'm going to link to this site in the introduction.
And once you download it, watch this video.
It explains how to use it.
What you'll get is a Google sheet that allows you to search for the top post in any given sub.
So you come up here, you'll see that there's a tab right here.
I'm not going to explain how it works because you can watch the 3-minute video.
I'm going to enter a subreddit.
There we go.
We're going to do.
Supplements, and now then we're going to scrape the subreddit, and it brings up the top comments I've got set for around looks like twenty-six right now, but you can change the configuration back here and right here.
It pulls up the date, the title, and the description.
I'll say it now. I can just zoom through here and see if this applies to my market or my products or any pain points someone might have like covid right now is a big deal.
So we got that one.
And you can just double click to get a quick idea of what it says.
And if that looks like something you would like to look at, you can just go right to the Reddit link.
You can also see the top post comments, which is interesting because I can tell you how many comments were made on that particular thread.
For instance, this one right here. Amazon issues. If twenty-one people commented, it might be good for content.
With many people participating in the thread, you know that it hit a pain point.
Anyway, as you can imagine, there are many ways to use this for your business. Getting into your customer's minds, finding their pain points and giving them the products they want, or strengthening the sales message of the products you already have.
And the other great thing is you see exactly word for word what your customers are saying.
