I have an effective webinar email to share with you this week.

I received this email after missing a webinar from Abby Woodcock over the Freelance Co-Op.

First, I want to say Abby is amazing and anybody who has a chance to either be a part of the freelance co-op work or go to one of Abby's events it's well worth the time and money. I have never seen her give less than 110%, and she talks about some mind-blowing stuff in our events.

She has a program with Chris Orzechowski help freelancers get more clients.

First, the subject line brilliant. When I was growing through emails trying to pick which one I was going to talk about today, it got my attention.

about yesterday

You notice it's all lower-case letters. It's something a friend or acquaintance would send you. I thought, what happened yesterday?

So curiosity was terrific here.

I clicked on it. The opening includes my name. That's great if you can use names in your

"Yesterday, I got a few people together to talk about becoming fully booked…"

Now obviously, I know that because I signed up for the email, but it is not the standard, "Hey Jody, I see you didn't make it to the webinar."

This line has a way of disarming me and reminding me of the missed webinar at the same time.

Then she tells me precisely what was covered. How to take control of clients and the client-finding process. It re-introduces the topic. It reminds me of the problem that drove me to sign up in the first place.

She does it in a disarming way and also brings me back and meets me where I was. I was someone who needed to have a better way of getting clients.

"So many people attend my class asked me for the replay so they can go through the material again, and I decided that even more people should see this."

It's a little social proof to make me go, "oh really what I miss out on." People don't want to miss out on things. If people attended the webinar and asked for replay because they want to see it again, what did I miss? I don't want to miss out.

The call to action is clear and uses a little urgency to get me to click.

I don't remember ever seen anybody do this PS.

"If you're short on time, jump directly to 36:28, where I cover the two types of client acquisition study strategies and why focusing on only one of them can be disastrous for your business."

She's doing the work for me. Now I can go right to the information I want. All the frictions are eliminated. I didn't make it to the webinar for whatever reason. I'm curious now. I feel like I missed out. And she's telling me at all I have to do is click the link and go to 36 minutes see exactly what I signed up to see.

The extra PS is excellent for anyone who already planned on buying the course but missed the webinar. Now I have a clear called action of where I can go to buy the class now.

Big Takeaways

  1. Use a subject line that looks like it comes from a friend.
  2. Remind me why I signed up and the pain points.
  3. Feeling like I missed out is a real motivator.
  4. Use your P.S. to remove the fricion and sell the click.
