How To Ethically Steal Your Competitors Research And Laugh All The Way to The Bank

Wouldn't it be great if your competitors handed over all their best customer research, and you could use it to write emails your list loves?

That is what a good swipe file does for you.

Unfortunately, most people don't know how to use a swipe file in the right way.

This week I'm going to show you an email from New Market Health that is raking in the dough...

... and show you one of the BEST ways to know if an email is making big money in your market.

Hey, everybody, I just wanted to quickly jump on here and continue the conversation about how you, as the business owner, can ethically steal your competitor's research and use it to create emails that your customers love.

I'm going to continue this swipe file conversation we started last week because I just noticed that this email came into my inbox today.

This email is another one owned by North Star Nutritional, which is New Market Health. (If you are in the health space I suggest you get on their list here)

And I'm showing you this because I got this same email from them back in June, which tells me that this email is working out very well for them.

There's something about this email that is driving traffic to their sales page and making sales.

They've been running this now for, what, seven months?

The only thing that has changed is the subject line and the old subject line, said QUIZ: Which liquor is better for your health?

Heavy curiosity-based email.

And I broke down this email in Email Breakdown #6 Quiz Email or Ethical Mind Control, and did an in-depth discussion about how curiosity works to drive customers to your product and make them want to buy.

But the main point I'm trying to make here is if you're not signed up to your competitor's email list, you're missing out on a huge opportunity to see what they're doing right now.

They're pouring money into their market research.

They're paying someone to write these emails.

And if they're showing up repeatedly in your inbox, you know, what they're doing is working.

As always, you're not doing this to copy their text and use the same thing in your emails (It's not ok. It's plagiarism).

You're using it to see what's working in your marketplace and create a message in emails specific to your customer list.

I promise you, if you copy this word for word, it is probably not going to work for you.

But if you take the same concepts your competitors are using (and spending money on), then you're going to be able to create emails that work for your business specifically.
